Eremurus Ruiter hybr. Cleopatra

Eremurus Ruiter hybr. Cleopatra

Flaming orange spires up to 1.5m tall. Striking and architectural. Ideal for prairie schemes, statement borders, and summer structure.

Description

Eremurus Ruiter Hybrid Cleopatra is a standout Foxtail Lily cultivar producing tall, densely packed spires of rich tangerine-orange flowers on strong stems. With flowering heights of up to 2 metres, it brings exceptional vertical interest to perennial borders, prairie-style plantings, and formal layouts.

Flowering in early to mid-summer, Cleopatra is highly valued by landscapers for bold structure, strong colour, and impact from a distance. Like all Eremurus, it performs best in full sun and free-draining soil, particularly where winter wet is avoided. Ideal for planting with ornamental grasses, alliums, or in modern perennial meadows.

Plant crowns shallowly and give space for the wide root spread. A reliable perennial when undisturbed and properly sited.

Trade Tip: For park and civic schemes, plant in groups of 5–10 for maximum colour impact. Site preparation with gravel or sand mounding enhances drainage and bulb health.
