Eremurus robustus

Eremurus robustus

Towering salmon-pink to soft apricot flower spires up to 2.5m. A statement bulb for large-scale public planting, meadows, and back-of-border designs.

Description

Eremurus robustus is one of the grandest foxtail lilies, producing very tall pink flushed flower spires that can dominate a border in early summer. It is ideal for estate planting, premium public gardens and bold mixed borders where height and structure are key design features. The flower stems rise dramatically above the foliage, creating a very strong architectural effect that works well with grasses, irises and later alliums. In Irish gardens it should be planted in a sunny, free draining position where the crown is not exposed to prolonged winter wet. For horticulturists and landscape professionals it is a high value plant that delivers exceptional scale and presence when used well.
