Terms and conditions of business

Acceptance: By placing an order with Beechill Bulbs Ltd, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of business.

  1. Minimum Order: To avail of trade/wholesale rates, all initial orders must have a minimum value of €300 excluding VAT.
  2. Order deadlines: In order to guarantee supply of varieties, orders must be submitted before the end of January (for Summer stock) or mid-July (for Autumn stock).
  3. Delivery Charge: Delivery is included for orders of or more than €600 excluding VAT in value. For smaller orders delivery is chargeable.
  4. Delivery Method: Your order will be delivered either by courier, Haulage Company or our company Van. The most cost effective method will be chosen. This is determined on the size, weight and urgency of the shipment.
  5. Prices: Prices quoted are always in EURO (€), excluding VAT @ 13.5% for bulbs. Prices are based on market availability.
  6. Currency risk: All invoices are made out to, and payments are due in EURO (€) currency. For customers paying in non-EURO currency, the customer is responsible for any shortfall due to currency fluctuations, to ensure that the invoice is paid in full.
  7. Payment Terms: Goods must paid for in advance (for delivery) or on collection. Cash, Credit & Debit cards, Electronic funds transfer & cheques are accepted. For cheque payments goods will only ship when payment has cleared our bank account (allow 3 working days).
  8. Credit Facilities: Are offered at our discretion and we reserve the right to refuse credit.
  9. Credit Terms: Where credit has been offered it is on strictly 30 day payment from invoice date terms. We reserve the right to charge interest at the rate of 2% per month on accounts not paid by the due date.
  10. Conditions of Sale:
    1. Goods remain the property of Beechill Bulbs Ltd until payment in full has been received.
    2. All sales are final and goods are sold on a non-return basis.
    3. Return shipments without prior written authorisation will not be accepted.
  11. Order Changes: These can be accepted up to one week before delivery. For items not in stock it can take up to an additional two to four weeks before the order is ready to ship.
  12. Quality: It is your responsibility to check your goods immediately upon receipt. Bulbs must be UNBOXED and stored in a well ventilated cool and dry place (bulbs must NOT be allowed to get wet). All orders are checked for quality and accuracy before shipping. Planting should occur as soon as possible after receiving bulbs.
  13. Claims: Must be made within 5 working days of receipt of order. The value of the claim can never be more than the invoiced amount for bulbs only (excluding all other surcharges and delivery). Beechill Bulbs Ltd are not responsible for losses arising from improper storage, extended storage, planting methods, soil conditions or other factors beyond our control once the stock has left our warehouse.
  14. Disclaimer: Beechill Bulbs Ltd is not responsible for non-performance or loss of bulbs because of improper storage, planted too deep or too shallow, under or over-watering or otherwise injured from use of pesticide or fertilizer or any growing conditions beyond our control.
  15. Availability: The products listed are offered subject to availability. Beechill Bulbs Ltd shall be under no liability for any failure or delay in performing a contract arising from lack of availability. Beechill Bulbs reserves the right to substitute varieties and products of a similar nature and quality to the unavailable products.
  16. Varieties: While we strive to provide true varieties at all times, any non-true varieties must be communicated to us as soon as they are identified in the growing season. Beechill Bulbs Ltd reserves the right to substitute varieties with similar or better varieties where there is a problem with supply of a certain variety. The products listed on this website are offered subject to availability. Beechill Bulbs Ltd shall be under no liability for any failure or delay in performing a contract arising from lack of availability.
  17. Applicable Law: These terms and conditions and any agreement to purchase bulbs from Beechill Bulbs Ltd shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law.
