Ipheion Wisley Blue

Ipheion Wisley Blue

Soft lavender-blue flowers with compact, hardy growth. Excellent for edging and pollinator planting.

Description

Ipheion Wisley Blue produces soft lavender-blue flowers with a refined star shape and light fragrance, appearing in early spring. Its neat form and reliable flowering make it perfect for formal edging, mixed spring borders, or underplanting deciduous shrubs. Combine it with Scilla mischtschenkoana, Anemone nemorosa, or Iris reticulata for a diverse early-season palette. It thrives in most Irish soils with good drainage and tolerates light shade. Wisley Blue is also pollinator-friendly, supporting early bees and hoverflies, and naturalises well when left undisturbed.
