Description
Cyclamen cilicium is a compact, hardy, and elegant autumn-blooming species native to southern Turkey. Producing pale to rose-pink, sweetly scented flowers with upswept petals above marbled foliage, it’s ideal for naturalising in woodland margins, gravel gardens, or under deciduous shrubs and trees.
Unlike many tender cyclamen, C. cilicium is hardy in well-drained sites and thrives in dry shade — a condition landscapers often struggle to fill reliably. It forms tidy clumps and slowly spreads in suitable conditions, providing colour and fragrance from September into November.
Excellent for low-maintenance planting in semi-wild areas, rockeries, and Mediterranean-inspired schemes.
