Description
Crocus Remembrance is one of the darkest and richest purple crocus cultivars available, known for its tall, upright blooms and excellent visibility in mixed spring planting. Flowering in mid to late March, it bridges the gap between early crocus varieties and the main daffodil season, offering a vivid flush of colour just as borders begin to fill out.
It performs especially well in Irish climates, tolerating wetter soils better than some earlier crocuses. Plant it in drifts through grass or use it in more formal arrangements alongside Crocus Jeanne d’Arc, Pickwick, or Muscari armeniacum for bold contrast. It also works beautifully in civic or commemorative schemes, where its name and colour carry deeper resonance.
