Chionodoxa luciliae (Gigantea) 5/+

Early large flowered star blooms that provide quick spring colour in lawns, rockeries and under deciduous trees.

Description

Chionodoxa luciliae Gigantea is one of the most useful early spring bulbs for creating quick colour in lawns, under deciduous trees and along the edges of paths and borders. Its larger blue star shaped flowers brighten the garden at a time when many schemes still look bare, making it a practical choice for trade planting in parks, hotels and large private gardens. It naturalises freely in grass and lightly shaded areas, helping build a broad seasonal effect with relatively little maintenance. The early flowers are also beneficial to bees and other insects emerging in mild weather.
