Tulip The First

Tulip The First

Kaufmanniana Tulip

Description

The slender, pointed petals of The First, are pale creamy-yellow with flashes of red on a yellow base and white interior, sitting on top of short, broad, lance-shaped grey-green leaves with purple streaking. This flower follows the sun, opening on sunny days and closes when there is no sun. Quite the eye catching combination when planted en masse in drifts, rock gardens, meadows or front of the perennial borders or in containers. This early appearing bloom will definitely be one of The First on the scene.
