Description

Single Late Tulip Menton is suited to Irish trade customers who need a tall, refined tulip for the final phase of the spring bulb season. The flowers are large, smooth and evenly shaped, carried on tall stems that give the variety good presence in borders and public displays. Menton opens in soft salmon-apricot tones and matures into warm china-rose and deeper pink shades, with the colour changing gradually as the flowers age.

For Irish planting schemes, Menton is particularly useful where a softer but still visible late tulip display is needed. It works well in estate borders, hotel grounds, public garden entrances, civic beds, courtyard planters, wedding venues, business frontages and large containers. The salmon-pink colour sits comfortably with cream tulips, white narcissus, pale yellow narcissus, purple tulips, Allium Purple Sensation and blue muscari.

As a Single Late tulip, Menton helps extend spring colour into late April and May, after many earlier tulips and narcissus have passed their peak. Supplier descriptions note its salmon-apricot flowers maturing to warm rose tones on stems up to around 65cm, and describe it as especially effective in large groups.

Tulip Menton is a strong choice for Irish landscapers and estate gardeners who want a tall, elegant salmon-pink tulip for polished late spring displays.
