Tulip Grand Perfection

Tulip Grand Perfection

Rembrandt-style tulip with creamy white petals streaked in crimson. Mid- to late-spring flowering. Ideal for formal beds, heritage gardens, and artistic displays.

Description

Tulip Grand Perfection is a modern Triumph tulip bred in the antique Rembrandt style, with bold red flames streaking across creamy white petals in dramatic fashion. Unlike virus-induced Rembrandts of the past, this stable, healthy cultivar provides vibrant variegation without sacrificing plant vigour or uniformity. Its upright blooms are carried on sturdy stems and open gradually over several weeks, creating strong progression and visual dynamism in mid- to late spring beds.

Growing to 45–50 cm, this variety flourishes in full sun with well-drained, moderately fertile soils. It thrives in both formal and artistic planting schemes and is particularly suited to historical gardens, heritage landscapes, or contemporary beds requiring bold patterning. Grand Perfection is also a reliable option for flower shows, displays, and mixed bulb installations where painterly character is desired.

It offers some benefit to pollinators during sunny conditions, especially when paired with blue or white muscari, species daffodils, or underplanted with ground-layer perennials. Use for narrative planting schemes, classic colour layering, or dramatic contrasts with solid whites, dark purples, or blue perennials.
