Description
Viridiflora Tulip Doll’s Minuet is a tulip with movement, colour contrast and a less conventional flower shape. The flowers are deep magenta to pink-red, with dark green flame markings running through the centre of the petals. The petals are slender and pointed, opening outwards to create a narrow, spidery silhouette rather than a heavy cup-shaped bloom.
Tulip Doll’s Minuet is best used where its shape and markings can be noticed. It suits estate paths, hotel entrances, courtyard containers, civic planters, public garden borders, business frontages and Tidy Towns displays. The magenta and green combination gives strong colour, but the narrow petal form keeps the display lighter and more expressive than a standard tulip block.
Doll’s Minuet also works well in more designed spring schemes, particularly with dark purple tulips, white narcissus, blue muscari, pale pink tulips, green-flamed tulips and late alliums.
