Tulip Candy prince is a refined early tulip that produces soft lilac to pink-lilac cup-shaped flowers on sturdy stems, giving spring displays a calm pastel tone that works especially well with stronger purples, whites, creams and blues. Well suited for planting in civic beds, hotel planters, estate borders, public gardens, courtyard containers and commercial landscape schemes or where early tulip colour, soft lilac tones, sturdy stems and a neat formal flower shape are required.
Single Early Tulip Candy Prince is a useful early tulip planting where a softer colour is needed at the start of the tulip season. After the smaller botanical tulips, Candy Prince moves back into formal bedding and landscape use, but without the heavy colour of red, orange or yellow varieties. The flowers are pale lilac to soft pink-lilac, carried on sturdy stems above upright grey-green foliage.
Candy Prince is useful where early spring colour needs to look clean, controlled and not overly bright. Candy Prince grows to approximately 30 to 35cm high, flowering in early to mid April, making it suitable for early civic beds, hotel entrances, estate borders, public garden displays, courtyard planters, commercial frontages, school grounds and formal seasonal planting. The pale lilac colour is clear enough to register in grouped planting, but restrained enough for premium schemes where strong primary colours would feel too harsh.
Candy Prince combines particularly well with white narcissus, cream tulips, blue muscari, dark purple tulips, pale pink tulips and silver foliage.
