Description
Tulip Apricot Parrot is a flamboyant, late-flowering parrot tulip with feathery, oversized blooms in warm peach, blush pink, soft tangerine, and hints of green. Each bloom is unique, shifting tones in changing light, and held on strong 50–60 cm stems that sway theatrically in late spring breezes.
Perfect for statement containers, floristry displays, or feature beds in hotel gardens, boutique hospitality settings, or private showpiece borders. It performs best in full sun, in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. Avoid windy, unsheltered planting areas. In open landscapes, consider planting alongside structural perennials or light staking for stability.
It pairs stunningly with contrasting parrot tulips like Super Parrot or Parrot Negrita and pastel blue companions such as Camassia leichtlinii. Tulip Apricot Parrot is unscented but open-petalled, providing nectar access late in the tulip season — useful for queen bees and hoverflies emerging after spring gaps.
A designer’s tulip — elegant and exuberant in equal measure.
