Description
Narcissus Standard Value is supplied in practical 20kg bags for trade customers requiring larger quantities for landscape schemes, estate planting, public gardens, roadside displays, parks and commercial horticultural projects. Planted in autumn, Narcissus Standard Value produces classic yellow trumpet daffodil flowers in spring, with bright yellow outer petals surrounding a golden yellow central trumpet.
The flower has a strong traditional daffodil shape, with one bloom per stem and a widely flared trumpet with a lightly ruffled rim. This gives the variety a clear, familiar spring appearance while still providing enough detail to look attractive in closer planting schemes. Its bright yellow colouring makes it useful for mass planting, open beds, grassed areas, roadside verges, parkland and estate lawns where strong visibility and reliable seasonal colour are required.
Narcissus Standard Value is a good choice for naturalising and repeat spring displays. It flowers slightly later than some early daffodils, making it useful for extending the narcissus season when planted alongside earlier varieties. It can be used as a single-variety drift for a uniform yellow display or combined with other narcissus, tulips, muscari and later spring bulbs to add contrast in flowering time, height and flower form.
For best results, plant in autumn in free-draining soil in full sun or partial shade, allowing sufficient depth and spacing for strong root establishment before winter. Narcissus are generally robust, low-maintenance bulbs and are widely used in Irish planting schemes because they tolerate typical spring conditions and return well when planted in suitable sites. The 20kg bag format is ideal for landscapers, contractors, local authorities, estates and professional gardeners managing larger planting areas.
