Description
Narcissus Veryan is supplied for trade customers requiring larger quantities for landscape schemes, estate planting, public gardens, roadside displays, parks and commercial horticultural projects. Planted in autumn, Narcissus Veryan produces graceful yellow daffodil flowers in spring, with swept-back petals and a slightly nodding flower habit. This gives the variety a lighter, more natural appearance than many upright trumpet daffodils.
The flower form is well suited to informal planting schemes where a softer spring effect is required. Its reflexed petals and angled blooms create movement and detail in planted drifts, making Narcissus Veryan useful for grassed areas, estate lawns, woodland edges, public gardens, mixed borders and naturalising-style spring displays. The yellow colouring gives clear seasonal impact while the flower shape adds a more refined character.
Narcissus Veryan can be planted as a single-variety drift for a consistent natural effect or combined with other narcissus, muscari, tulips and later spring bulbs to extend the season and add contrast in flower shape, height and colour. It is particularly suitable for schemes where the planting needs to look established and less formal, rather than highly regimented.
For best results, plant in autumn in free-draining soil in full sun or partial shade, allowing sufficient depth and spacing for strong root establishment before winter. Narcissus are bulbous perennials with spring flowers made up of outer petals and a central cup or trumpet, and they are widely used in Irish planting schemes because they are reliable, low-maintenance and suitable for repeat seasonal displays. The trade bag format is ideal for landscapers, contractors, local authorities, estates and professional gardeners managing larger planting areas.
