Description

Leucojum vernum, or Spring Snowflake, is a solitary, nodding, bell-shaped white flower with yellowish-green marks near the tip of each of the six petals among strappy, glossy, dark green leaves. Related to snowdrops but flowers later and is taller. Plant in sunny, well-drained soil in meadows, gardens, rock gardens, borders and beds or woodlands. Naturalises easily so use in lawn areas.
