Ipheion Alberto Castillo

Ipheion Alberto Castillo

Elegant white star-like flowers for early spring. Hardy, low-growing, and ideal for edging or naturalising.

Description

Ipheion Alberto Castillo is a refined spring bulb producing pure white, star-shaped flowers atop slender stems from March through April. Compact and fuss-free, it naturalises easily in lightly shaded beds, rock gardens, and pathway borders. This variety works beautifully with other spring bulbs such as Chionodoxa, Anemone blanda, and Narcissus triandrus types for a longer blooming tapestry. Its neat, grass-like foliage adds soft texture to planting schemes. Mildly fragrant and pollinator-friendly, Alberto Castillo is an excellent choice for low-maintenance, natural-style planting and performs well in Irish soils when planted in full sun or partial shade.
