Description

Ornithogalum umbellatum is a relatively short plant with six petaled, star-like white flowers with a bold green stripe on the outside, a pale yellow centre and anthers and narrow, linear leaves which have a white stripe down their centre. Plant in full to partial sun in well drained soil in drifts in gardens, borders, banks, beds, along the coast or as underplanting for trees and shrubs. This plant is wonderful groundcover.
