Description

This newer Fritillaria has unusual purple, pendulous, bell-shaped flowers with green interiors. The strong smell from the bulbs keeps mice and moles at bay. It is advisable to plant the bulb in a sunny area at a slight angle when planting to prevent water from accumulating in the bulb. Due to its height, plant solo or in small groups as a focal point in borders, beds, gravel, gardens, between shrubs or in in containers.
