Small Flowering

Description

Fritillaria uva-Vulpis (Fox Grape) blooms with beautiful purple-brown bells, often tipped in yellow, with lance shaped leaves. Often sprays with as many as seven hanging flowers can be seen. Since the bulbs are very sensitive to drying out, it is advisable to plant them immediately upon receipt in moist, well-drained, humus rich soil. Especially suited for the front of the border, rock gardens or in pots on the patio or balcony. Mix especially well with anemone blanda, narcissi, muscari and tulips but keep in mind, that although they become tall, thye are not imposting plants. Very good naturalizer.
