Description

Crocus Vanguard is an early, large-flowering crocus that is a must for every gardener. When closed, the flower has a chromed silvery colour with a hint of lavender. When the flower opens, a beautiful contrast is created with the purple-blue inside of the flower and orange-yellow stamens stand at attention. Lovely in sunny borders, beds, gravel or rock gardens, wildflower meadows or in pots on the patio or balcony. Combines beautifully with other crocuses, scilla, puschkinia and chionodoxa. Very suitable for naturalising in the grass. Invaluable to the bees as it is one of the earliest crocus to appear.
