Crocus Candlelight

Crocus Candlelight

Crocus Candlelight is a pale purple and white crocus with bright yellow stamen for Irish spring displays, ideal for lawns, tree circles, containers and early pollinator planting where soft colour and naturalising value are important.

Description

Crocus Candlelight is an elegant crocus with soft purple and white flowers that bring a gentler effect than stronger gold or purple spring bulbs. The colour is especially useful in professional planting where a subtle, high quality look is wanted, such as hotel lawns, courtyard containers, formal grass panels, tree bases and lightly naturalised schemes near paths or entrances. Crocus are among the most valuable early bulbs for biodiversity because they provide nectar and pollen at a point in the year when food sources are still limited for emerging bees. In Irish conditions this variety is well suited to short grass, open beds and free draining borders, where the pale flowers stand out cleanly against fresh green growth without appearing harsh. Its ability to combine with white snowdrops, blue crocus and dwarf narcissus also makes it a flexible design tool for layered spring programmes.
