Description
Corydalis solida Beth Evans is a highly desirable cultivar producing soft rose-pink, tubular blooms that emerge in March atop airy, dissected foliage. A true spring ephemeral, it offers intense colour early in the season before dying back cleanly, making it perfect for layering with later perennials.
Exceptionally well-suited to naturalistic woodland planting, Beth Evans’thrives in moisture-retentive yet free-draining soils in part shade, such as under trees or along hedgerows. Irish conditions—with their cool springs and damp soils—are ideal for establishment and spreading over time.
For layered colour, pair with Galanthus nivalis, Crocus tommasinianus, or Scilla bifolia Rosea.
