Description

Anemone blanda Blue Shades produces a low spreading carpet of daisy like flowers in a blend of cool blue tones, bringing early spring colour to the front of borders, beneath shrubs and through light woodland planting. Its compact habit makes it ideal for naturalising in drifts where a softer ground layer is needed in parks, estates and professional garden schemes. This variety is particularly effective in Irish conditions where it can be planted into well drained soil and allowed to establish into broad spring sheets of colour. The open flowers are also useful for early pollinators when little else is in bloom.
