2 Alcea rosea Chater’s Double White in a package with a large colour photo and planting instructions. (Outer of 5 packs)

Description

Alcea rosea (Hollyhock) Chater’s Double White blooms mid-summer and grows up to 175 cm tall. It produces tall rounded lobed, light green leaves that bear long spikes of crepe-like double white flowers. Since these flowers are so stately, they work best at the back of a border with lower flowers to hide their bare lower stems. Flowers should be sown in well drained, fairly fertile soil in full sun. These flowers are hardy and can be located in cottage and informal gardens, flower borders, beds, wall borders, trellises or along the coast. Although often short-lived, they will re-seed themselves for many years.
