Description
Camassia leichtlinii Caerulea produces tall upright spikes of soft to mid blue star shaped flowers that bring height, rhythm and a meadow character to spring planting. It is an excellent choice for larger borders, waterside landscapes, orchard settings and naturalistic drifts where bulbs need to rise clearly through surrounding foliage. This camassia is particularly effective in Irish soils that retain moisture through spring, and it naturalises well over time in the right conditions. The open flowers are attractive to pollinating insects, adding real biodiversity value as well as visual impact.
