A vibrant mix of violet-blue shades ideal for underplanting in parklands, woodlands, and mass displays. Hardy, low-maintenance, and a reliable early-season performer for trade planting schemes.
Anemone blanda Blue Shades is a low growing spring flowering bulb valued for its carpet of daisy shaped blooms in soft and mid blue tones. It is especially useful for woodland edges, the front of mixed borders, orchard planting and broad naturalised drifts where early colour is needed without a formal bedding look. In Irish conditions it performs well in reasonably drained soil and is particularly effective beneath deciduous shrubs and trees where it can flower before heavier shade develops. For landscapers, estate gardens and public planting schemes it offers a practical way to create a soft, established spring effect while also providing early forage for pollinating insects.
