Tulip Sweetheart

Tulip Sweetheart

Tulip Sweetheart is an early-flowering bloom that produces lemon-yellow bowl-shaped flowers with broad creamy-white petal edges, giving spring displays a bright but softened colour effect that works well in formal beds, containers and mixed bulb planting. Supplied for professional spring planting across Ireland, including hotel gardens, estate borders, civic beds, public parks, courtyard planters and commercial landscape schemes.

Description

Fosteriana Tulip Sweetheart is a useful early tulip for planting where yellow is required, but a softer finish is preferred over a solid bright yellow block. Its strength is the contrast between a warm lemon-yellow centre and broad creamy-white petal edges, giving the flower a fresh, clean appearance in early spring. The flowers are bowl-shaped and yellow-centred, with each lemon-yellow petal carrying a wide creamy-white margin.

Tulip Sweetheart is particularly useful in areas where early spring colour needs to look bright without becoming harsh. It suits civic beds, hotel entrances, estate borders, public garden edges, courtyard planters, school grounds, business frontages and mixed spring containers. The creamy-white edging helps it combine more easily with white narcissus, blue muscari, pale yellow tulips, cream tulips and soft spring bedding.

Sweetheart has a lighter, more welcoming character than stronger orange or red tulips. It can be planted in generous groups for a clear early display, used as a front-of-border feature, or repeated through larger schemes to link yellow narcissus with later cream and white tulips.
