Description
Tulip Mango Charm is a warm and luminous Triumph tulip that brings exotic tropical tones to spring plantings. Its petals open in rich mango-orange flushed with golden-yellow, often with soft rose or apricot undertones, giving it a sunlit vibrancy that makes borders and beds glow. As the blooms mature, the colours soften into lighter peach and cream blends, extending its decorative impact over the flowering period.
Reaching 35–45 cm, Mango Charm flowers mid-spring on strong stems, holding well in Irish weather conditions. Like other Triumph tulips, it thrives in free-draining, fertile soils and performs best in sunny, open positions, though it will tolerate light shade. Plant bulbs in autumn for a reliable mid-season display that delivers both warmth and sophistication.
This tulip is particularly effective in mixed schemes where its warm tones can be contrasted with blues and purples such as Muscari armeniacum, Hyacinth Delft Blue, or even dark tulips like Queen of Night. It is also at home in pots, containers, and small courtyard gardens where its tropical glow creates a striking focal point. While not highly scented, its strong visual presence makes it a favourite for cut flowers as well as massed landscape use.
