Description
Allium sphaerocephalon, often called drumstick allium, has slender stems and compact burgundy flower heads that fit beautifully into prairie style and naturalistic planting. It is ideal for horticulturists, public gardens and landscape designers who want a more relaxed allium effect that moves well through grasses and perennials. In larger drifts it creates rhythm, texture and late spring depth without the formality of the larger globe types. It is also excellent for pollinators and long in season.
