Description
Iris reticulata J.S. Dijt is a dwarf reticulata iris valued for its violet purple bloom colour and its ability to deliver sharp early season detail at ground level. It is particularly useful for Irish horticulturists, landscapers and premium garden projects where spring planting needs to begin with compact but highly decorative bulbs. This variety performs well in rockeries, gravel gardens, raised beds, containers and the front of formal borders, where the flowers can be appreciated close up and where drainage is good through winter. In repeated planting it gives a crisp, professional opening to the bulb season and combines well with crocus, small narcissus and early species tulips.
