Description
Alcea rosea ‘Nigra’ (Black Hollyhock) is a short-lived perennial growing to 175 cm tall. It produces tall rounded lobed, green leaves that bears intense single red-purple flowers that are nearly black. Flowers should be sown in well drained, fairly fertile soil in full sun. These flowers are hardy and can be located in cottage and informal gardens, flower borders, beds, wall borders, trellises or along the coast.
