Puschkinia libanotica Alba

Puschkinia libanotica Alba

Rare white form of striped squill. Early-flowering and compact. Ideal for soft spring colour in lawns, gravel gardens, and shaded borders and excellent for naturalised schemes in parks and public green spaces.

Description

Puschkinia libanotica ‘Alba’ is a distinctive, pure white form of the classic striped squill. Less commonly available, it adds a refined touch to early spring schemes and contrasts beautifully with crocus, hellebores, or coloured Chionodoxa. At just 10–15 cm tall, it’s ideal for tucking into gravel paths, low borders, or naturalised lawns. The 5/6 bulb size ensures easy establishment in large-scale planting or retail packs. A strong performer in cool, free-draining soils across Ireland. Use in monochromatic white themes or blend with blue and yellow spring bulbs for soft naturalistic palettes. Mix with Chionodoxa, Anemone blanda, and Galanthus to extend the early spring flowering window across public and private landscapes.
