Description
Double Late Tulip Yellow Pomponette is supplied for trade customers requiring larger quantities for landscape schemes, estate planting, public gardens, parks, commercial displays and seasonal spring planting projects. Planted in autumn, Tulip Yellow Pomponette flowers in late spring with large, fully double blooms in golden yellow. The flowers have a rounded, peony-style form, with layered petals that create a full and substantial bloom.
The bright yellow colour gives strong visibility in planted schemes and works particularly well where a clear, cheerful spring display is required. The large double flowers add more texture and weight than standard single tulips, making Yellow Pomponette useful for formal beds, estate borders, public gardens, courtyard planters, hotel planting, large containers and high-impact commercial displays.
Double Late Tulip Yellow Pomponette can be planted as a single-variety block for a bold golden display or combined with purple tulips, orange tulips, red tulips, late narcissus, muscari and other spring bulbs to build contrast in colour, height and flower form. It is also suitable for cut flower use, where the large peony-like flowers provide strong decorative value.
For best results, plant in autumn in fertile, free-draining soil in full sun or partial shade. Allow sufficient planting depth and spacing for strong root development before winter. Like most double late tulips, the large layered flowers are best planted in reasonably sheltered positions, as heavy wind or rain can damage fully open blooms. The trade bag format is ideal for landscapers, contractors, estate gardeners, local authorities and professional horticultural customers managing larger seasonal planting areas.
