Description
Tulip whittallii is a delicate reddish-orange perennial bearing pointed, cup-shaped flowers. Petals may be light yellow on the outside with a blackish-green spot at the base of each petal forming a circle at the bottom of the cup. These fiery flowers can be planted in sunny, well-drained areas in meadows, fields, gardens, beds, borders, rock and gravel gardens, and pots and containers. Can be planted alone or mix with other botanics such as sylvestris or polychroma for added interest. This long-lasting bloom naturalises well.
