Description
Tulip Salmon Prince is a refined and dependable Single Early tulip, valued for its soft yet distinctive salmon-pink blooms with gentle apricot undertones that bring warmth and clarity to early spring planting schemes. Flowering early in the season, often from late March into April, this variety reaches approximately 30–40 cm in height and is carried on short, sturdy stems that perform exceptionally well in Ireland’s often wet and windy spring conditions. The classic cup-shaped flowers open evenly and hold their colour well, providing clean, uniform displays in borders, containers, and formal bedding. Its compact habit makes it particularly suitable for exposed sites, coastal gardens, and front-of-border planting where taller tulips may struggle. Fragrance is minimal, but the simple open form offers modest accessibility for early pollinators, especially when planted alongside crocus, muscari, or early narcissus to support biodiversity. Tulip Salmon Prince is highly versatile, working equally well in mixed spring borders, patio containers, and professional landscape schemes, and it also performs reliably as a cut flower with good vase life for early-season arrangements.
