Description

Tulip Pamplona is a strong red double tulip to plant where early spring colour needs to be rich, full and immediately visible. It offers a more substantial flower form than a standard single red tulip, with layered petals that create a rounded, peony-style bloom suitable for managed beds, planters and premium public-facing displays.  The flowers are large, full and double, with scarlet-red to vivid pink tones and a slight lime-green backing on the outer petals.

Pamplona is useful where a bold early display is needed but the planting brief calls for more finish than a plain red block. It suits hotel entrance planters, civic beds, estate borders, courtyard containers, public garden displays, commercial frontages, school grounds and formal spring planting. The full flower shape gives extra presence in close-view positions, while the red-pink colour remains strong enough for larger grouped planting. Double Early Group tulips are generally short-stemmed, early-flowering and valued for their peony-like double flowers and long-lasting display qualities.

Pamplona combines well with white narcissus, cream tulips, blue muscari, pale pink tulips, dark purple tulips, soft lilac tulips and silver foliage.
