Tulip Orange Emperor 11/12

Tulip Orange Emperor 11/12

This early-flowering tulip produces large reddish-orange flowers with golden-yellow bases, giving spring displays a warm, confident lift before many mid and late tulip varieties come into flower.  Tulip Orange Emperor is supplied for professional spring planting across Ireland, including civic beds, estate borders, hotel gardens, public parks, courtyard planters and commercial landscape schemes.

Description

Fosteriana Tulip Orange Emperor is an early-season tulip for planting where strong colour is needed at the front end of the spring display. It gives a different effect from red Triumph tulips or late Parrot tulips: the colour is warm and clear, the flowers are broad and open, and the display arrives early enough to extend the value of a professional bulb scheme. The flowers are reddish-orange with yellow at the base of each petal, creating a glowing effect when the blooms open in spring.

Orange Emperor is useful where a bold but clean orange display is required. It suits civic beds, public parks, estate entrances, hotel grounds, courtyard planters, commercial frontages, school grounds and formal spring borders. It can be used as a warm feature block, repeated through mixed beds, or paired with early narcissus to build a strong early spring colour sequence.

Orange Emperor combines well with yellow narcissus, white narcissus, blue muscari, cream tulips, dark purple tulips, soft apricot tulips and later alliums. Its warm orange colour is particularly useful in public-facing schemes where the planting needs to read clearly from a distance, while the yellow petal bases add depth when viewed close up.
