Description

Single Late Tulip Maureen is a classic white tulip to plant where height, clarity and late spring structure are required. It gives a cleaner, taller and more formal effect than compact white tulips, making it especially useful for estate borders, civic beds, public parks, hotel gardens and large professional displays. The flowers are large, snow-white to ivory-white, held on sturdy upright stems late in the tulip season.

Maureen is valuable where white needs to be visible from a distance without looking heavy. It suits formal estate borders, civic planting, public garden beds, hotel entrances, church grounds, memorial gardens, wedding venue displays, commercial frontages and high-quality seasonal planters. The tall stems and large pale flowers give a clean vertical line, while the late flowering period helps extend spring interest after earlier tulips have finished.

Maureen also works well as a linking tulip in mixed schemes. It can be planted as a pure white block, repeated through formal borders, or combined with dark purple tulips, soft pink tulips, blue muscari, cream narcissus, late alliums and silver foliage. As a tall Single Late tulip, Maureen is best placed in managed beds, formal borders and sheltered planters where its height, flower shape and clean colour can be used to full effect.
