Description

Species Tulip Little Princess is a compact botanical tulip for small-scale planting needs strong colour and clear detail. It is lower and warmer than Little Beauty, with copper-orange petals and a dark central marking that gives the open flower a jewel-like appearance.   Little Princess as a multi-headed species tulip that grows to approximately 15cm tall.

Little Princess is best used where the flower can be viewed close up, particularly from above as the blooms open in clear weather. It suits courtyard containers, raised planters, gravel borders, estate garden edges, public garden collections, hotel garden paths, rockery-style planting and compact commercial landscape features. Its short height makes it useful at the front of borders or in containers rather than behind taller narcissus or hybrid tulips.

Little Princess is also useful where a warmer botanical accent is needed among softer spring planting. It combines well with blue muscari, early crocus, low narcissus, white species tulips, fine grasses, pale yellow botanical tulips and simple spring perennials.
