Description
Tulip Design Impression is a large, elegant Darwin hybrid tulip with oversized blooms in warm salmon-pink tones, layered with coral and soft rose shades. Reaching 55 to 60 cm in height and flowering in late April, it delivers a luxurious, painterly effect to spring borders and beds. Its upright form and weather-resilient nature make it a favourite for high-end display schemes and formal installations.
Best grown in full sun and fertile, free-draining soils, Design Impression performs reliably in both exposed and sheltered conditions. Ideal for professional bedding designs, it holds its flower shape through coastal wind or spring rain. In heavier soils, add horticultural grit or compost to improve drainage.
Recommended for public-facing beds in hospital entrances, hotel gardens, civic buildings, formal parks, and curated estate displays. Particularly effective when used as a feature block in pastel-themed schemes or as a transitional colour bridge between cream and pink selections. Works well with Tulip Pink Impression, Allium Mount Everest, white wallflowers, and late-flowering hyacinths. Not fragrant, but flowers are accessible to early hoverflies on warm days.
