Description
Darwin Hybrid Tulip Daydream is a strong choice for Irish trade customers who want a spring display that changes as it develops, rather than staying one fixed colour. The flowers open in clear yellow and gradually move through apricot into warm orange as they mature. In a planted block, this creates a natural blend of colour across the bed, with younger blooms showing yellow while older flowers take on deeper orange tones. Daydream is well suited to civic beds, park entrances, estate borders, hotel grounds, business frontages, school planting, Tidy Towns displays and large containers. Use Tulip Daydream as a single-variety block for a colour-shifting display, or combine it with cream tulips, orange tulips, red Darwin Hybrid tulips, blue muscari and late narcissus for a warm layered scheme. In Ireland, plant in autumn into fertile, free-draining soil in full sun or partial shade. Avoid sites where bulbs sit wet through winter, particularly on heavier ground. Raised beds, improved drainage or large containers are useful where winter wet is likely.
