Description
Tulip Crossover® is a refined and high-performing Triumph tulip, admired for its luminous colour combination of blushed rose-pink petals brushed with crisp white highlights. Flowering in mid to late April, it reaches a graceful 40–45 cm, offering a clean vertical accent and a fresh, romantic colour palette suitable for both formal and contemporary designs.
Crossover® is reliable, weather-tolerant, and structurally upright, making it ideal for public bedding schemes, heritage garden displays, and commercial spring rotations where uniformity and resilience are key. It thrives in full sun to light shade, in moderately fertile, moisture-retentive but free-draining soil, and responds well to soil improvement in heavier ground types with grit or compost.
This cultivar is well suited to structured municipal beds in urban centres, romantic courtyard gardens and bridal planting, seasonal front-of-border schemes in formal estate settings, and professional container planting for commercial entryways or hospitality venues
Plant in groups of 10–15 bulbs per square metre for maximum impact, either as a single-variety block or paired with tonal complements such as Tulip Pink Star, Negrita, or Sweetheart. It combines well with Hyacinth Pink Pearl, Muscari White Maci or Allium Purple Sensation for effective layering.
While not strongly scented, the broad, open bloom form provides moderate pollen access to hoverflies and small solitary bees, especially in sunny sheltered sites. In biodiversity-sensitive public planting schemes, it contributes aesthetic interest while supporting mid-spring foraging gaps between early bulbs and emerging herbaceous perennials.
