Description
Tulip Candela is a classic Triumph tulip with cheerful, mid-yellow blooms that open on sturdy 40–50 cm stems from early to mid-April. It delivers reliable spring energy and floral form across a wide range of landscapes—from public beds and school gardens to commercial frontage and family planting schemes.
Best suited to full sun in fertile, free-draining soil, Candela thrives in mixed tulip beds, municipal schemes, or blocks of pure colour. Its uniform habit, classic goblet shape, and durability make it particularly effective for mass plantings, high-footfall beds, or low-maintenance bulb schemes.
Excellent for combining with contrasting reds or purples like Tulip Ronaldo or Red Impression, or softening with Muscari. Its open bloom contributes modest pollinator access in early spring, especially when layered with nectar-rich underplantings.
For best performance, plant 10–12 cm deep in groups of 10+ bulbs. Strong return value and excellent impact for schemes requiring early warmth.
