Description
Parrot Tulip Cabanna is a decorative choice where the aim is softness, texture and premium detail rather than loud colour impact. It has the ruffled form expected from a Parrot tulip, but its colouring is more delicate, moving through cream, green, pale pink and deeper fuchsia as the flowers mature. The flowers open creamy-white with soft green tones, then gradually develop sugared-almond pink shades and brighter fuchsia feathering.
Parrot Cabanna is best placed where people can see the flower properly. It suits hotel entrances, wedding venues, estate borders, public garden beds, courtyard planters, civic containers, business frontages and high-quality commercial landscapes. The colour is refined enough for formal schemes, but the ruffled flower form gives it more visual interest than a standard white or pink tulip.
Cabanna works well with cream tulips, pale pink tulips, white narcissus, blue muscari, purple alliums and soft green planting. It can also be used beside darker parrot tulips for contrast, but its best use is in elegant mixed displays where the pink and green markings can develop naturally through the flowering period.
Parrot tulips have large, curled and finely cut flowers, so Cabanna is better suited to sheltered beds and planters than to exposed roadside or verge schemes.
