A heirloom tulip dating back to 1910, Bleu Aimable is a beautiful shade of lilac purple with a blue hue, a magenta blush and a white centre surrounded in blue. Intense colour at the beginning, this flowers pales as its flowers age. This tulip is hard to describe as its colouring tends to change in various lights making it an enigma. Plant en masse to make a eye-catching display or pair it with other single lates such as Big Smile or Clearwater. Plant in sunny areas with good drainage for best growing results. Quite spectacular in gardens, borders, pots or as a cut flower.
