Description
Species Tulip Bright Gem is a compact botanical tulip for planting where early spring colour needs to look natural, warm and refined. Bright Gem is low, soft and easy to use in naturalistic schemes, planters and raised planting areas. The flowers are sulphur-yellow with a gentle orange flush, carried above narrow grey-green leaves.
Bright Gem is best used where compact scale and early timing are an advantage. It suits courtyard containers, public garden edges, estate border fronts, raised planters, rockery-style beds, hotel entrance displays, school grounds and smaller commercial landscape features. The yellow-orange colouring gives warmth without the size or formality of larger hybrid tulips. Bright Gem is particularly useful for naturalising-style planting and repeat use in pots.
Use Bright Gem with early crocus, blue muscari, low narcissus, white species tulips, compact Kaufmanniana tulips and simple spring bedding. It works best in repeated small groups, where the warm flower colour reads clearly without overwhelming more delicate early planting.
