Tulip Apricot Impression

Tulip Apricot Impression

A graceful blend of apricot, salmon, and rose tones. Ideal for premium public beds and large-scale planting schemes.

Description

Tulip Apricot Impression is a superior Darwin Hybrid tulip offering robust, architectural blooms in delicate apricot flushed with rose, peach, and soft orange. Flowering mid to late spring on stems up to 60 cm tall, this cultivar is favoured by designers for large-scale displays, premium residential beds, and biodiversity-supportive mixed bulb schemes.

The bulb ensures XL flower size and reliability in both private and public settings. Plant in full sun in free-draining loam with moderate organic content. Particularly suited to formal beds, civic entrances, institutional gardens, and upmarket mixed borders. Ideal partners include Hyacinth City of Haarlem, Tulip Pink Impression, and Narcissus Obdam.

Its broad, open flower form allows access for bumblebees, hoverflies, and solitary bees, especially when grown in tiered combinations. Though not strongly scented, it supports pollinator movement when integrated with nectar-rich underplanting such as Muscari armeniacum.

A superb choice for professional schemes requiring large-format, photogenic planting with strong perennial potential. Plant 10–12 cm deep at 12–15 cm intervals in blocks or loose drifts for full visual effect.
