Tulip Apricot Fox

Tulip Apricot Fox

A uniquely coloured tulip blending soft apricot-salmon. Ideal for containers, romantic beds, and warm-toned spring planting schemes.

Description

Tulip Apricot Fox is a soft-toned Triumph tulip prized for its dusky peach, salmon, and apricot hues that shift with the light. Blooming from early to mid-April, it stands at 40–45 cm and brings a warm, mellow presence to beds, borders, and containers. The colours develop best in full sun but retain elegance even under overcast Irish spring skies.

Ideal for softening hard landscape edges, urban gardens, or blending into warm-hued planting schemes, this cultivar thrives in fertile, drained loam or peat-free compost with balanced pH. It performs well in containers, beds, or low-stature planting designs in commercial courtyards or estate gardens. Pairs particularly well with soft blues such as Muscari Baby’s Breath, or ivory Narcissus Thalia.

Apricot Fox is lightly fragrant and offers nectar access to mid-season bees, especially when integrated with pollinator-rich layers. Particularly effective in colour-controlled schemes for high-end residential or show garden displays.

Avoid winter wet and mulch if naturalising.
