Description
Tritoma (Kniphofia) ‘Alcazar’ is one of the most special flowers in the garden. The pointed and dead straight inflorescence in flaming orange and yellow shades makes it clear why Tritoma has been given the name Torch Lily. Flowering from July to September and growing 90-100 cm, these beauties need full sun. Good drainage is requited to prevent root rot but otherwise they are fairly tolerant of most soils and will survive in drought, though that is not preferred.
